New, powerful, sporty! Porsche 911 GT3 RS

World premiere of the most powerful production Porsche 911 with a naturally aspirated engine.

The car was presented at the Geneva Motor Show.

The 911 GT3 RS will be fitted with a 4-litre engine producing 383 kW (520 hp)

The new high-performance sports car is based on the 911 GT3, refined even further and designed for maximum dynamics and precision in handling. The 911 GT3 RS accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 312 km/h.

Aerodynamics and interior

Aerodynamics became the defining factor in the design of the wider, weight-optimised body with its classic rear wing. The racing style continues in the cabin. The sports bucket seats are made of carbon to provide firm lateral support during dynamic driving at high speed. Lightweight door panels with safety nets and pull straps instead of door handles make the car lighter still.

Engine

The most powerful naturally aspirated engine, producing 520 hp, is a four-litre six-cylinder engine with Porsche charging in the new 911 GT3 RS, which is 15 kW (20 hp) more powerful than the previous model. Maximum engine speed can reach 9,000 rpm. Combined with the specially calibrated seven-speed PDK, the high-performance engine guarantees an outstanding experience for the driver.

Clubsport package

The technology comes straight from motorsport and guarantees that the chassis will withstand any loads and speeds. The car is fitted with mixed-size wheels: on the front axle, 20-inch lightweight wheels (265/35) improve agility and steering, while 21-inch wheels with 325/30 tyres on the rear axle improve traction.

As with all current GT sports cars, the Clubsport package is also available for the 911 GT3 RS at no extra charge. The package includes a hand-held fire extinguisher, a battery cut-off switch and a six-point safety harness.

For particularly ambitious drivers, Porsche has created the optional Weissach package for further weight reduction. The package includes additional carbon-fibre components for the body, interior and exterior, as well as magnesium alloy wheels. The package reduces the weight of the 911 GT3 RS to 1430 kilograms.

Launch and prices

The car will be launched in Germany in mid-April 2018. Prices for the new high-performance sports car start at 195,137 euros, including VAT and country-specific equipment.
