Lower excise duty on imported passenger cars in Ukraine

So, dear customers, friends and subscribers. The law “On amendments to subsection 5 of section XX of the Tax Code of Ukraine regarding the stimulation of the market for used vehicles” has been signed.

But there are a few points you should take into account when buying a car.

• You may not sell the purchased car within one year (otherwise you will have to pay at the old rate)
• You must bring the car in and clear it through customs yourself, in person.
• Only 1 car per year may be bought.
• The car must be no older than 01.01.2010 by year of manufacture. Not older. EURO 5 is mandatory.

These are the main criteria you should stick to.
